Purpose: A comparative study of scientific misconduct in some countries, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Isreal, India, Pakistan, United States, China, Japan, South Korea, Sweden and France.Methodology: All retracted articles indexed in Web of Science between 2010 and 2017 were selected. Using analytical approach and Scientometrics method, the status of retracted papers in terms of cooperation with other countries, disciplines, retraction date, citation rate and types of retraction by separation of countries, scientific categories and disciplines were studied.Results: The top scientific misconduct was plagiarism and belonged to science branch fields. China had the most retracted papers in each discipline, domain and scientific category. The most retracted articles were written in Medical Sciences domain.Conclusion: There is an upward trend in papers getting retracted in recent years.Overall, Iran, India and Pakistan had the most scientific misconduct in compare to their total scientific production.
